CFDA awards 2012- a Chicago connection with Corri McFadden

Corri- the star of (VH1’s House of Consignment  and founder of  eDrop off) attended the CFDA awards in New York tonight wearing Christian Siriano!  I love when Chicagoans represent. 

The CFDA Awards are annually held  in New York and is deemed the “Oscars of fashion.”  It honors excellence in fashion design.

Usually there is cohesiveness and theme to red carpets, especially for the fashionable but this year it seems everyone was dressed for different events, seasons and life challenges.

 

My favorites

Man Repeller (Leandra Medine), Rebecca Minkoff and Hilary Rhoda- they are fresh, lively (in season) and their shoes....I want them!

All wearing Rebecca Minkoff I might add.

I like this on Julianne Hough- its flattering and the shade compliments her tremendously.  Is it a risk?  No but sometimes that’s needed.... dating Seacrest has its perks ehhh?

Zoe Saldana and Prabal Gurung in his design…. Yes! It fits, its perfect, its black!  And legs!

Solange is my girl… she knows that yellow is her color (see the Gala in Rachel Roy) and she sticks to it.

Others were a camel toe mess and geisha gone rogue.
