Keep an eye out for Cityblue Apparel & Denim owner Mallory Ulaszek's new boutique in her hometown of Lake Forest on April 2nd named CB

Located at 662 N. Western Avenue, CB is the sister boutique of Cityblue Apparel & Denim in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood.

“After growing up in the area, I knew that Lake Forest residents we’re looking for cutting edge, yet effortless pieces they could wear every day,” says owner Mallory Ulaszek.

Offering designer names typically found only in department stores, CB will feature names such as Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang and Yigal Azrouel.

“It’s ‘boutique meets department store’ – high end department labels in a boutique atmosphere – the best of both worlds.”

Chicago new reality shows- House of Consignment, Mob Wives Chicago, and tentatively Most Eligible Chicago

Finally! After years of reality programs dominating out tv’s Chicago is finally on the map. On the map in the way of having shows based here, instead of contestants hometowns being Chicago. Chicago has three upcoming Chicago based reality shows hitting the airwaves.

House of Consignment – Corri McFadden is the owner of eDrop-Off and a cutie! She’s young, very fashionable and has taken Chicago by storm with her Ebay resale store. Premiering on March 21st it promises to take us inside the closets of some of Chicago’s wealthy and show Corri’s business savvy adventures.

Mob Wives Chicago- hmmmm I don’t know why they are calling it “Wives”, since the cast has been revealed and they are all daughters… and rough looking. Sorry I had to say it. Seeing these women and hearing their backgrounds, I’m wondering where the story line is. But I’m sure VH1 will make sure there is some drama.

Most Eligible Chicago- the Dallas franchise did pretty well but isn’t well known. Chicago is rumored to get a spin off after there were reports that production was here interviewing and shooting test scenes with young hip professionals who are of course eligible!

Also Barbara Bates can be seen on the new NBC show, Fashion Star (Tuesday nights). With over 25 years in the fashion industry she has custom made designs for Chicago elite as well as Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan and Will Smith. She is competing to get her looks chosen by Macys, H&M or Saks Fifth Ave. Sadly no one bid in the first round but she was not eliminated and gets another chance!Photo via NBC

I’m happy we will finally have show to call our own. But I’m still looking for a little more flavor like…. A Chicago blogger based reality show? An urban based reality show? I know some fab ladies that would fit the bill (clears throat) …..after all its entertainment!
