Isabel Marant VS Ash sneakers

I have been in love with the Isabel Marant sneakers since seeing Tracee Ellis Ross (above) rocking them. They are a designer suede sneaker that boost a 3’ wedge on the inside of the shoe.

I admit, I am not a sneaker fiend per se but I do love a unique shoe, but once I found out they hit the 700 range, I almost swallowed my tongue. They would be cute for when you want to be stylish yet comfortable or mix up your wardrobe like the girl above with her fur and Marant’s.

Thanks to Fashion Bomb Daily , I found the above sneakers.

What do you guys think about the Ash brand? Too much of a knock off?

My holiday tuxedo

I have had my BeBe rhinestone blazer for about five years. I originally purchased it to wear to a NYE celebration and since then I have tried to incorporate it into my wardrobe because I feel it is so unique.

This past Friday I went out to celebrate a birthday and decided that I wanted to wear the jacket but how to put a twist on it?

Originally I wanted a neon bow tie to go with some other items in my closet but haven been able to find it. So I decided to get a black and white stripped tie to go with my jacket and jeans combo.

I found it at American Apparel! Why didn't I think of them in the first place?

What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

Rent the Runway party with CBN

Last Tuesday I was invited as part of Chicago Blogger Network to party at Maxine Salon with Rent the Runway (RTR). Bloggers enjoyed appetizers, wine and chatted with RTR.

I became familiar with them when they first premiered in 2009. Rent the Runway is a website that lets you rent the hottest dresses for a fraction of the price.

You sign up for an account, browse the site, add favorites to your account and rent for 4 to 8 days. RTR takes care of the postage and the dry cleaning.

If you are always out on the town and have events, this is an easy and affordable way to always be stylish.

RTR also has jewelry and accessory rentals and sell cosmetics.

I will be renting soon, and of course I will let you know how my experience was!

Earlier that day some members (including Dee Dee above) were on Windy City Live showcasing looks from RTR and the next day on WGN morning show.

The RTR and CBN party will be seen on NBC's 24/7 that will air 1-8-11 at 12:30 a.m. How fab!

Thanks to RTR, Vosges, Pink Papaya, Kind snacks, and Maxine salon for the wonderful goodies in the goodie bag!

I’m pictured above on the far right wearing a Love 21 rhinestone tunic; leggings, Aldo boots and H &M bag. I put a gray tank underneath the tunic and I soooo regret it because you can definitely see it! Lessoned learned, black next time. I’m pictured with Dee Dee of Sassy Peach and Ashley of Stiletto Chic

Thanks to Lisa of SADD for letting me borrow the pic to use… lol

UPDATE:: A fashionable Christmas Wish List

UPDATE: I got my baby! My Michael Kors bag. I originally wanted the pewter but after really thinking, black is more functional.

I was asked my top 5 items that I would want Santa to get me for Christmas. Besides a million dollars…. And a private jet that turns into a yacht. I thought about basic, yet fashionable staples that is needed and hell- WANTED in my closet.

B By Brian Atwood shoes and boots. I’m a nice girl so I wouldn’t stretch Santa’s pockets by requesting Brian Atwood shoes. Rather I would go for his diffusion line B. After all my nickname is B

A Michael Kors bag…. Preferably the Grayson. Saw the bag in person and it is just the right mix of statement, shiny and size.

Michael Kors jewelry ….this man has me memorized with is line

Contrasting Blazer with leather sleeves…. Like fellow Chicago Blogger Network member Melissa Arnstine of Stylissh.com
Its just perfect

What do you want Santa to bring?

Kryolan Professional Makeup welcomes Illamasqua Makeup Artists 12/8

If you follow me, you should know that I am in love with Kryolan make-up. I don’t use anything else. It’s very affordable (Eye shadow for $8.25, pallets of blush for $23.65, and liquid foundation for $14.74). They offer over 120 shades in their foundation line, it is highly pigmented and they rarely discontinue. All because Kryolan is an independent manufacture.

Kryolan also has a line called Illamasqua, a specialty line that is more luxurious and pigmented. On 12/8 Illamasqua Makeup Artists will be on hand to give mini make-overs, talk about the line and get to know Chicago’s make-up lovers.

Please come out to this event and become acquainted with Kryolan and Illamasqua from 6pm - 8pm.

Cocktails, Hors D'oeuvres and Complimentary mini makeovers! And of course I will be there!!!!
