What to wear: Chicago's Old School picnic

Every summer thousands flock to Chicago for the Chosen Few aka Old School picnic. Chicagoans and visitors mingle, bbq, drink and dance while enjoying legendary house music.

This Saturday, it’s time again to get out there and enjoy the music as well as run into familiar faces and meet new friends. What better way to do that than in style?

While the weather is always sunny and hot there are still some factors to consider: there will be a very large crowd of people (toes maybe stepped on), it is very grassy (stilettos should be kept at home), and dress to impress but not like you are going to the club.

3 options:

Cool gal

I am in love with boat shoes. I have a specialty made pair from Sebago and I live in them! One option for the picnic is a flirty pair of shorts, with a tank and boat shoes.

IT girl
For the girl who will be lounging in the tent letting her man or “friend” bbq then you can wear a wedge and a cute dress for the visitors that stop by.

Laid back
And lastly for the fashionista who wants to do it all - walk around, bbq, hang with friends and all without a stiletto heel sinking in the grass. We have a chic skirt, tank and sandal combo.
